Integrating coding into K12 curriculum and implementing coding clubs in Georgian public and private schools using distance learning

Client: Microsoft Georgia LLC

The goal of the initiative is to prepare a curriculum for coding and pilot it in club format in Georgian schools. The learning process goes in the classroom consisting of students interested in the subject (all grades), with a coding instructor (practitioner programmer) connected online and teacher facilitating the process locally. Curriculum is based on Khan Academy Computer Programming module and supported by Mindworks designed lesson plans for blended instructional processes.

Preparation
Preparation of self-assessment questionnaire. Review questionnaire results. Create a detailed calendar for interns. Elaboration assignments for interns (ICT mentors)

Workshops and Activities
Workshops in Teams, Office 365, OneNote, OneDrive. Online Consultation. Assignment of Online courses

Coordination of independent work by interns
Monitoring Interns completion of MEC courses. Mentoring Interns in training teachers. Reporting (intern prepares brief report on the completed activities at school)
